This Universal Engine Tachometer offers accurate and easy RPM checks on 2 or 4 stroke gasoline or diesel engines. The Engine Tachometer is supplied as 12V DC with 230V and 115V AC power available. The gauge reports output in 4-20mA, 0-5V, and TTL formats. There are two alarm set points that are user selectable. The accuracy is within 2 RPM per 1,000 and measures from 200 to 10,000 RPMs on 8 cylinder engines.

 

The OM-200 electromagnetic indicative sensor will detect the high voltage flux induced from the ignition coils, magnetos, or transistorized ignition system. The OM-200 sensor is mounted parallel to the ignition power distributor. The alternative method uses an optical sensor (ROS-5) to reflect off a mark on the sleeve producing accurate RPM readings. An NIST traceable certificate of calibration supplied with each instrument.
