Portable
Because the Model 4000 is portable, it is ideal for testing field mounted vibration transducers, cabling and related accessories. The Model 4000 is a complete, self contained, portable vibration calibrator. As a standard feature, each unit is equipped with it's own rechargeable power source. This makes the 4000 an excellent choice for any field calibration work where an extension cord is both dangerous and time consuming. An external charger/power supply provides charging and operational current when used in the lab.
Accurate
To ensure accuracy and the reliability of test readings, the Model 4000 contains an integrated National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable reference accelerometer.
Flexible
The Model 4000 utilizes a unique suspension that can support sensors that weigh up to 500 grams without the aid of an external support mechanism. Unlike any other portable shaker system, the Model 4000 will allow the user to calibrate nearly all types of seismic transducers, no matter the manufacturer. The S4A-1 Eddy Current Probe adapter and Dial Micrometer can be used to verify both static and dynamic output, and linear range of an individual Eddy Current Probe or an entire probe system. The Portable Vibration Calibrator allows the user maximum flexibility when adjusting frequency ranges (10Hz-10KHz) and amplitude settings (Acceleration, Velocity or Displacement). The LCD readout can either be displayed in English or in Metric units.
