Optional Integrated barcode readers
There are two options that can be fitted to the i.roc.
The BCx10 -Ex "Area Imager" An "Area Imager" can read the many types of scanning mediums around today. This technology uses double colored scanner that, marks while it, records an integrated picture record module. The recoded module is then interpreted by software, and it recognizes all formats listed below, including OCR Fonts, matrix, 2d, and many Postal Bar Codes. The BCx10 Area Imager is omni-directional, reading the barcode at any angle, so one scan is sufficient.
-
Barcodes read:
-
2D: PDF417, MicroPDF417, MaxiCode, Data Matrix,QR Code, Aztec, Aztec Mesas, Code 49, EANUCC Composite, Snowflake*, Dataglyphs*
-
Linear: Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, UPC, EAN, Interleaved 2 of 5, Reduced Space Symbology, Code 93, Codablock F, BC412*
-
Postal: Postnet, Planet Code, British, Canadian, Japanese, KIX (Netherlands)
-
OCR Fonts: OCR-A and OCR-B (*can be enabled for licensed customers)
-
Focal point: 17.8cm (7") from lens plate (nominal)
-
Working range: (Near ... Far)
-
8 mil Linear: 8.9cm ... 19.3cm
-
10 mil PDF417: 7.9cm ... 22.9cm
-
13 mil UPC: 6.4cm ... 31.8cm
-
15 mil PDF417: 8.9cm ... 28.4cm
-
15 mil Data Matrix: 9.4cm ... 16.5cm
-
35 mil MaxiCode: 5.1cm ... 33cm
-
Rotational sensitivity: 360°
-
Viewing angle: ±40°
-
Ambient light: 535 to 100,000 lux (full sunlight)
The BC x10 -Ex laserscanner
The "laserScanner" is the more familiar scanner, often found at the grocery store. There are a few different barcode formats that use a laserscanner. The visible laser marks the barcode as it is scanned "up and down" perpendicular to the lines.
-
Bar Codes Read: UPC/EAN, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, I 2 of 5, Discrete 2 of 5, Codabar, MSI Plessey
-
Focus: min. 30 mm (1.18”), max 760mm (29.92”)
-
Light Source: Visible Laser Diode 650 nm
-
Scan Angle: 53° (typical)
-
Scan Patterns: Linear
-
Scan Rate: 39 (± 3) scans/sec (bi-directional)
-
Ambient Light: 4844 lux - 107640 lux (450’ cd - 10000’ cd)
-
Laser Classification: CDRH/IEC Class 2
Optional RFID Scanner
Again, there are two options for Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) scanners that may be attached to the i.roc. The RFID is an antenna for linking to transponders that store various information. Ideal for storing identification, service, and inventory information, these transpomders can store up to 2 kBit of data without having to be connected to an external power device. There are high temperature (up to 120ºC), chemical resistant, compact, and heavy duty, and low cost transponders available with IP66 and IP67 ratings.
-
RF x10 -Ex (13.56 MHz )
-
Read/write range: up to 80 mm, depending on the transponder type and environment
-
Data transmission speed: approx. 26 kBit/s
-
Writing to transponder: < 50 ms per block
-
Reading from transponder: < 50 ms per block
-
Transponder types: ISO 15693, Tag-It, I-CODE, EM, SLI, HFI, LRI and Infineon
-
RF x11 -Ex (125 KHz )
-
Operation frequency: 125 KHz (134 KHz on request)
-
Write/Read range: up to 80 mm, (3.14”) depending on transponder
-
Transponder types: UNIQUE, HITAG-1, HITAG-S, TIRIS, EM 4X25, EM 4X70, Q5 (other types on request)
