General Purpose Accelerometers
(General Purpose, Industrial, Low Cost Accelerometers, IEPE)

General Purpose 100 mv/g, IEPE, Accelerometers are used on the vast majority of rotating machinery. They are normally mounted at the machines bearing(s) and connected to local BNC junction access boxes or to permanently installed monitoring systems for machine protection. Most have the industry standard Mil-Spec 5015 connectors either top or side mounted. For high temperature or high frequencies > 10 kHz please visit the appropriate category.

        The CMCP782A Top Exit Economical Accelerometer is the ideal accelerometer for rotating equipment where hazardous approvals are not required. The CMCP782A is lightweight and can be use for route based or permanent mount applications. The sensor is designed so that cross wiring will not harm the internal components and provides protection against ground loops. The CMCP782A is waterproof and can be hosed down or submersed when using the proper extension cable such as the CMCP602 series. Contact STI for more details.
